Waalhaven Cool Barge has been established to create Intermodal solutions between deepsea terminals and the well-located Rotterdam city terminals Barge Center Waalhaven and Waalhaven Botlek Terminal.
The main goal of Waalhaven Cool Barge is to serve it’s customers in order to avoid road congestion on highway A15 and terminal congestion at the deepsea terminals on the Maasvlakte. These services are especially interesting for carriers calling at the Euromax Terminal. The services are a cost neutral and competitive alternative for the extra truck mileage required to reach Euromax.
